The Future - what will it be?
Do you know that old song? The one Doris Day sang so long ago, "que sera sera, whatever will be, will be ........." Well, while there may be much wisdom expressed in those words, we'd rather try to ensure that Mihdi has a future worth living.
The prognosis made by the specialists at the Mayo Clinic in July 2008 were that he could expect to live to 45-55 if he were not to receive any further treatment barring complications like pneumonia changing that prognosis. Dr. Wu has suggested 65 should treatment not follow on a continuous basis. However, if he can continue with his treatment program for the next six to eight years, possibly longer, he is expected to be able to live independently and look after himself, living until 70. That is pretty amazing for a boy who wasn't expected to reach his 10th birthday.
Mihdi needs your help to make this happen. Please donate. Thank you.
